We always wanted to create a game that is simple to learn, easy to play and provides a fun experience instantly. As we revised King Cat, we looked at all its different aspects and how they were respecting our vision.
We’ve simplified our KS Exclusive Rewards – and by simplify, we mean we removed most of them and add a common one to all backers: a cheaper-than-retail King Cat. No fancy rewards, no problem: still a winner.
The “Of Cats and Kings” expansion pack was designed as a simple way to add diversity, new challenges and overall more fun to King Cat core game. On the other side, it ended up adding a level of complexity to the campaign, the game and the overall project – not mentioning this feeling that if you want to enjoy the full experience, you need to spend more – no, thank you. So we ditched “Of Cats and Kings” and transferred its content to campaign goals. Every unlocked campaign goals will be added to King Cat core game, forever and ever. Meaning that while we’ve created the base game, YOU will decide of King Cat’s forever shape.
